I think I almost prefer
winter hikes
to summer hikes.

In wintertime
we are that much more thankful
for a rare shining sun,
and the range of purple
in the shadows of the landscape
seems to me
as beautiful
as summer blooms.

  7. This must be Wallace Falls. I took an almost identical picture of the first one when we went there for a hike at Christmas.
